Visit the finest Czech research infrastructures while at ICRI 2022

We offer you the opportunity to personally visit ELI Beamlines, METROFOOD-RI / CZ, CzechGlobe and other research infrastructures located in Czech Republic.

Did you know that according to the latest update of the Czech Roadmap, Masaryk university, the main organiser of ICRI 2022, participates in 13 national level research infrastructures? In four of them as a host institution – CEPLANT, CIISB, CZECRIN and RECETOX RI. During your stay in Brno, we offer you the opportunity to visit some of the finest research facilities personally. Visit the laboratories for structural biology and biological and medical imaging located at CEITEC, the premises of RECETOX RI, including a new biobank or the Czech nodes of AnaEE, ICOS and EUFAR located at CzechGlobe. All the site visits start and end in front of the ICRI 2022 venue, Hotel Passage, including bus transfer.

Besides that, you can visit also research infrastructures located in Prague. Namely METROFOOD-CZ, the national node of the European infrastructure METROFOOD-RI, which is the first large infrastructure in the Czech Republic focused on agriculture, nutrition and food sciences. The nuclear reactors in Řež including thermohydraulic loops, hot cells and analytical laboratories. Or ELI Beamlines and the neighboring HiLASE Center in Dolní Břežany, the world's largest and most advanced high-power laser research infrastructure.

As a satellite event to ICRI 2022, ELI ERIC offers visits to the ELI Beamlines in collaboration with the neighboring HiLASE Centre facilities located in Dolní Břežany near Prague for all in-person participants of ICRI 2022. The offer of the visit includes a bus transfer from a central transportation node (Prague Airport/Prague Central Station) to the facility tour followed by a bus transfer to Brno.

Visit to METROFOOD-RI & Reactor Řež

Site visits of Czech University of Life Sciences (CZU) Prague: METROFOOD-RI and Research centre Řež: Řež nuclear reactors. These two site visits are following one after the other. Participants can either take part in both or only in one of them.

METROFOOD-CZ, the national node of the European infrastructure METROFOOD-RI is the first large infrastructure in the Czech Republic focused on agriculture, nutrition and food sciences. The satellite event of the ICRI 2022 offers the participants the opportunity to be introduced to the activities of the METROFOOD-RI on European and a national level. The people from METROFOOD will present their complex infrastructure, services and other possibilities of cooperation. The meeting will be closed with the excursion to the newly built, unique Food Technology Centre at CZU and degustation of local products.

Integral set of facilities for cutting-edge research in the fields of nuclear and material sciences, able to accommodate for both the current and emerging trends and needs, leveraging on the unique ability to provide the investigations of the combined effects of extreme environments and radiation on a large variety of components and systems for a wide range of applications - from the current fleet of nuclear reactors, through innovative nuclear reactors for the future, to fusion and space technologies. Main goal of this event is presentation of the utilization possibilities of technologies within the CICRR infrastructure, and presentation of selected realized activities and results. Main part of the agenda is technical tour of infrastructure placed in Rez.
