The 3rd Photon & Neutron (PaN) EOSC symposium of PaNOSC & ExPaNDS will present the major results achieved in making FAIR data a reality at PaN facilities in Europe, and explore how a (PaN) Data Commons can be integrated into the EOSC, in collaboration with the other EOSC cluster projects.
The 3rd Photon and Neutron (PaN) EOSC symposium of PaNOSC & ExPaNDS is meant to present the major results achieved in the frame of the two H2020 projects, toward making FAIR data a reality at PaN facilities in Europe. The core achievements towards an increased FAIRification of PaN data will be showcased to all stakeholders, such as scientists, PaN facility users and decision makers.
The two projects’ results include:
The Extreme Light Infrastructure (ELI) is the world’s largest and most advanced high-power laser research infrastructure and a global technology and innovation leader in high-power, high-intensity, and short-pulsed laser systems. As the first international laser research infrastructure dedicated to science and research applications of ultra-intense and ultra-short laser pulses, ELI will provide high quality access to the international research community for prospective applications in medicine, radiography, fusion energy, environment, materials sciences, nanotechnologies, and biochemistry.
The 2nd part of the event will include one panel discussion on EOSC Data Federation sustainability, involving all EOSC cluster projects and representatives of the task force on financial sustainability of the EOSC, and a closing panel discussion on the sustainability models which may be implemented for PaN data to be FAIR in the long run, with contributions from the LENS and LEAPS initiatives.
