LUMI Strategic Committee is the ultimate decision-making body of the LUMI consortium, which hosts one of the pan-European preexascale supercomputers LUMI. The LUMI Strategy seminar will follow the Strategic committee meeting. The Strategic seminar is a platform for a broader discussion on the future of the LUMI consortium.
The European High-Performance Computing Joint Undertaking (EuroHPC JU) is pooling European resources to develop top-of-therange exascale supercomputers for processing big data based on competitive European technology. One of the pan-European preexascale supercomputers, LUMI, is in CSC’s data centre in Kajaani, Finland. The supercomputer is hosted by the LUMI consortium. The LUMI (Large Unified Modern Infrastructure) consortium countries are Finland, Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Iceland, Norway, Poland, Sweden, and Switzerland. Strategic Committee is the ultimate decision-making body of the LUMI consortium, overseeing the overall activity, defining Key Performance Indicators, and making financial decisions. The Strategic Committee will also be responsible for interacting with the EuroHPC JU on a strategic level.
The LUMI Strategy seminar will follow the Strategic committee meeting. The Strategic seminar is a platform for a broader discussion on the future of the LUMI consortium, its relationship with other infrastructures and initiatives using HPC and related technologies. The range of participants in the Strategic Workshop expands to include Operational Management Board members and other potential guests.
