Organiser: Extreme Light Infrastructure ERIC (ELI ERIC)

ELI ERIC was established on 30 April 2021 as a single sited European research infrastructure, and operates facilities of high-energy, high-repetition laser facilties situated in Dolní Břežany, Czech republic (ELI-Beamlines) and in Szeged, Hungary (ELI-ALPS).

ELI ERIC will offer visits to the ELI Beamlines and to the HiLASE Centre facilities located in Dolní Břežany near Prague for all in-person participants of ICRI 2022. The offer of the visit will include a bus transfer from Prague Airport or Prague Central Station to ELI Beamlines followed by a bus transfer to Brno. The visit programme will include an introductory presentation of ELI ERIC followed by a guided tour of the facility and hands on activities to explore the world of laser science.

The HiLASE Centre is a scientific research centre of the Institute of Physics of the Czech Academy of Sciences. It was established at the turn of August and September 2011.

Under one roof at HiLASE Centre we develop the next generation of high power Diode Pumped Solid State Lasers, while at the same time, exploit these unique light sources for a wide range of hi-tech industrial applications such as Laser Shock Peening, Laser Induced Damage Threshold testing, and Laser Micro-Machining.

During the tour of the HiLASE Centre, you will learn more about its research programs, laser technologies and applications. You will also look into the experimental hall with the LSP station and a take a peek from the lobby to the clean laboratory.
